Operatives of Ekiti state police command has seven suspected cultists in April 30, 2022.
Command spokesperson, ASP Abutu Sunday disclosed that the command received information that two rival cult groups- Black Axe (AIYE) and EIYE secret cults, were on rampage in Aramoko-Ekiti.
Receiving the information, operatives swooped on the scene, arresting the seven suspected cultists, while others took to their heels and escaped arrest.
The arrested suspects includes: Olajide Marvelous aged 24, Sunday Kolawole aged 20, Olajide Samuel aged 25, Jamiu Olalekan aged 24, Sunday David aged 18, Idowu Olarenwaju aged 25 and Okeke Dada aged 24.
Investigation revealed that the two cult groups were fighting for supremacy and have been terrorizing innocent citizens and causing nuisance in Aramoko-Ekiti.
The operatives recovered offensive weapons and insignias of cultism, while effort is ongoing for possible arrest of the fleeing terrorists.
