Oyo state Governor Seyi Makinde has commissioned the New Sasa Market in Akinyele local government area of the state.
He said the new market should become a symbol of unity and oneness, and that the separate incidents of November 2020 and February 2021 are footnotes in our history that should not repeat itself.
Makinde encouraged the market users to continue to dwell in peace, and the leadership of the market to continue to work together and use the reconciliation mechanisms available to them to ensure that issues that could cause conflicts are resolved amicably.
