Anambra state Governor Charles Soludo has commissioned school project at Capital City Secondary School and Amaenyi Community Primary school, Awka.
The project was done by Mr. Clem Nwogbo as his company, Awka Millennium City, corporate social responsibility. He built a one storey block of Assembly hall, library and digital learning room, plus a green lawn playground respectively for both schools. He has further recruited and pays the wages of about 20 qualified Teachers to buffer what the government currently provides.
Soludo commended Clem for his contribution to the growth of the community, saying, "I am delighted at this singular sense of community, which of course is typical of the Anambra Spirit. This is who we are!"
He charged charged the parents and children to seize this lifetime opportunity to learn as Clem has caused a disruption that will positively alter the minds of our children, and most certainly will receive God's choicest blessings on behalf of thousands who may not have had the privilege of quality public education save for his intervention.
The governor also called other illustrious sons and daughters of the state to get back to their community and solve a problem.
He commended late Anthony Enukeme (TONIMAS) for his interventions in rural road construction of about 18km. He as well noted the construction of 12km more in Adazi by individuals who understand the burden of development as a collective responsibility.
Soludo added that no one is too poor that they have nothing to give, and none is too rich that they have nothing to receive.
"No one is too poor that they have nothing to give, and none is too rich that they have nothing to receive. If you can afford a pencil, go home and give it to the public school in your community. When we all have this mindset, then we can be sure that we are halfway into creating a prosperous homeland," he said.
