Presidential aspirant, Atiku Abubakar has won the People's Democratic Party (PDP) primary election.
He becomes the flagbearer of the party in the 2023 election.
Atiku said him contesting in the election becomes the march to rebuild and unite Nigeria moving forward.
According to him, I am honoured to be named the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party. I look forward to speaking with Nigerians across the country, taking the message of hope and unity as we build one future for one people.
Atiku beat Nyesom Wike, Bukola Saraki, Udom Emmanuel, Bala Mohammed, Anyim Pius Anyim, Dele Momodu and Sam Ohuabunwa.
Here are the results: Sam Ohuabunwa 1, Anyim Pius Anyim 14, Udom Emmanuel 38, Bala Mohammed 20, Bukola Saraki 70, Nyesom Wike 237 and Atiku Abubakar 371.
Other aspirants who had dropped out of the race in the party includes: Alhaji Muhammed Hayatudeen, Peter Obi, Aminu Tambuwal.
