The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, has received received over 48 trafficked victims between ages 14 - 30.
The victims were handed over by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Jigawa command, in collaboration with Nigeriene police, Niger Republic, on April 5, 2022.
They were rescued headed to Europe, and are currently undergoing counselling at the shelter while further investigations are ongoing.
