NPF affirms Kingsley Udoyen is a fake police officer


The Nigeria Police Force has disclosed that a 56-year-old man, Kingsley Udoyen who has been parading himself as a Assistant Commissioner of Police, is a fake officer. 

It was reported that Udoyen, who lives at No. 3 stadium road, Abak, Akwa Ibom state, is a civilian impersonating to be a police officer, and not a serving Assistant Commissioner of Police. 

Udoyen was arrested in January 2, 2019, by the Akwa Ibom state police command, and is currently facing criminal prosecution at the Magistrate Court, Abak, Akwa Ibom state.


It could be recalled that Commissioner of police, Akwa Ibom state, Musa Kimo disclosed that the suspect had been using the rank to defraud and threaten members of the public. 

During a search of Udoyen's house, one English pistol without magazine and ammunition, portraits of Chief Superintendent of Police, Assistant Commissioner of Police, three pairs of uniform, police belt, fake police ID card and other documents, were found. 

Udoyen confessed to crime, stating that he started when he lost his job after being dismissed from Lagos police command, Alagbon division in 2007, for engaging in illegal act
