Borno state Governor Umaru Zulum has distributed cash, food, non-food items to 15,327 persons made up of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and other vulnerable citizens.
The governor did the distribution, while at his hometown, Mafa, Borno state, distributing to the beneficiaries which included 9,312 females and 6,014 males; each were given five thousand naira (N5,000), totalling N76,635,000 million.
Aside the cash, each man got 50kg of rice and five yards of Shadda while each woman received a wrapper and 10kg of sugar.
Zulum, also visited the Mafa general hospital, where he inspected facilities and interacted with health workers.
At the end of the assessments, he directed the Principal Medical Officer of the hospital to immediately submit details of some of their requirements for sustained healthcare delivery.
