Sokoto state Governor Waziri Tambuwal condoled with the families of victims, who lost their lives in a boat accident at Gidan Magana village in Garin Ginga precinct of Shagari local government area of the state.
He said he is shocked and displeased by the sad news on the tragic death of 29 people, offering prayers that Allah grant their souls Aljanna Firdaus.
The governor applauded the heroic and selfless act of some samaritans who staked their lives to assist in the rescue of some travelers, thereby helping in reducing the casualties.
