Governor Soludo declares 'Monday sit-at-home' ended in Anambra


Anambra state Governor Charles Soludo has stated that 'Monday sit-at-home' in the state has officially ended today, Monday 4, 2022.

He said he will be announcing the membership of peace and reconciliation committee that will look into addressing all areas of sincere challenge, including interfacing with the Federal Government on behalf of all Prisoners of conscience. 

Soludo also offered amnesty to people in various forests around the state, stating that they should give their guns to the state, so that they (state) can help them forge a meaningful living.

He mentioned that the task of taking back the state and reclaiming the dignity of the people collective existence is at the heart of his administration drive towards liveable and prosperous homeland.

The governor stressed that the task is a must, and called for the support and prayers for the people as his administration resolve to fiercely go after criminal elements who are out to threaten it's peace and development. 

"Anambra is the light of the nation, we must keep it so," he added.
