Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Gifty Powers has slammed the federal government for not creating any awareness of domestic violence among women.
She made this known on her instagram story, crying out on the increase of women being killed in domestic violence, and yet the government aren't saying anything.
Gifty said, "It breaks my heart that 85% of women are being killed in domestic violence and the government still has nothing to say about it. It's sicken.
"We live in a fucked-up country where our government is not creating any awareness of domestic violence among women.
"We do not know who to call or lay a shoulder on. It's so bad to the extent that no matter how high your cries or voice is, society will always be bribed behind our backs. Smh.
"It's a shame I have Nigerian blood. Everyone is hungry and greedy for their selfish interest. And yet they say make we dey vote for them? The election is around the corner. I have a dozen pages to speak on, but I'll rest it here for now.
"Please let's all not repeat the same stupidity that led us to this crazy condition again. We were once foolish but not anyone. Let's vote wisely Pls."
