Actress Anyah Chidima has stated that the public stop tarnishing the image of Lagos girls.
She said this in series of post on her instagram story, following current trend of "Lagos girls sleeping with dog for N1.5m", maintaining that not all Lagos girls are runs girls, as there are girls in Lagos who are working tirelessly and hard to achieve what they have.
Chidima stressed that the name calling of Lagos girls should stop, most especially on Lagos Island girls, as the country already have a bad image and we keep on selling ourselves out.
She said, "Being a Lagos girl the price you pay is outrageous most especially if you are a Lagos Island girl and try and manage to do well for yourself, everyday is one story or the other: Lagos girls are all runs girls, Lagos girls are ritualist, Lagos girls eat poo, now Lagos girls sleep with German Shepard (dogs).
"I'm not saying this might not be true but y'all on twitter who always try to damage the image of this so called island girls should take it easy, some of this girls date rich guys who buy/support them to get this big cars I'm not trying to defend.
"This is really sad and heartbreaking. I know there are some really desperate girls out there so are there hard working and lucky women enough of this cooked up stories all the time.
"Some of the girls in Lagos are not what you or I assume in our heads, some people are just looking for ways to survive and become better persons, there are still good girls on the street of Lagos, who are willing to become better persons.
"Some of the girls you see today who don't wear makeup fix nails or even go out for more terrible things than some of the girls you see in club everyday (pretence) the society we are today judge you by your look (appearance).
"Reasons alot of persons live in pretence, that's what the society wants to see, should we talk about the girls who do 9-5 using it as a medium to cover face all in pretence of I got a job, buy they do more terrible things?
"Even when they see the videos are not from Nigeria they still insist and agree it is Lagos girls, stop tarnishing the image of Lagos girls some of this girls go days and night working their ass off.
"As a Nigerian girls two things once you start making money is either you are sleeping with men or dogs or you are doing voodoo. Whatever affects the head also affects the shoulder we can do better.
"We as a country already have a bad image let's stop selling ourselves out, the world is watching. Enough already please."
