Singer, Ashanti has called a world emergency action to be taken to end violence against women and girls.
She called for this action on her Instagram page to mark the International Women's Day, stating that she is putting 'Goal 5: Gender Equality, front and centre' first.
Ashanti said violence against women and girls is a global pandemic that affects one in three women in their lifetime.
She said it's time the World raise awareness on it and change it.
