Governor Soludo assures Anambra will not be repressed by criminal elements

Anambra state Governor Charles Soludo stated that the state cannot be repressed by criminal elements, as its resolve to entrench law and order is total.

He noted this during visit to the scene of attack at Ukpor, Nnewi south LGA, stating that the mindless bloodletting and destruction of infrastructure wouldn't define the state, and nothing can justify such acts of criminality.

Soludo questioning who was at loss from the destruction, said structures built from the taxes paid by genuine hardworking men and women on the streets are ruined for reasons that are incomprehensible to sane mind.

He said it is impossible to make any meaningful progress this way, as resources that should have been deployed to providing more for struggling tax payers, would now be channeled into reconstructing these destroyed buildings and rebuilding missing records.

The governor recalled with grief, the three police officers - Inspector Murtala Saudi, Sgt. Mudassir Ahmed, and Sgt. Samuel Ishaya - who lost their lives to the unknown gunmen who attacked them at a meeting with the youths in his village on this day last year.

He pledged that their families shall continue to be taken care of, assuring that his administration will not relent to making the state livable and prosperous.
