Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has stated that his administration will continue to provide enabling environment for youths to engage in meaningful educational and economic activities to add value to themselves.
He said this at the convocation ceremony of Lagos State University (LASU), where he reminded the graduands, academics and guests of the history of the university.
Sanwo-Olu, while noting that he is happy the school has sustained its established culture of excellence and quality tertiary education, said LASU has evolved from its humble beginnings in 1984 to attain a world-class status.
He congratulated the management team, staff, students and other members of the university community for continually striving for excellence, stating that the feats achieved by today’s graduands are testimonies of LASU’s tenacity of purpose, teamwork, and drive for innovation in teaching, learning and research, which are in line with the vision of the founding fathers of the university.
