A federal high court sitting in Katsina state, on March 29, has sentenced a 22-year-old, Grace Essien, to serve one year in correctional center in Katsina state.
The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) disclosed that Grace was sentenced for attempting to facilitate the fraudulent entry of two female victims from Edo state enroute Kano to Libya through Katsina state.
The Agency, also revealed that it has successfully secured the conviction of 10 persons since the start of the year, January 1, 2022.
The ten persons by state are: Kano (4) Katsina (3), Abuja (2), and Lagos (1).
