President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the new National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
He said the unity of the party was on display during the national convention of the party, putting the party on a firmer footing for victory in next year’s General Elections.
The president stated that it was a great pleasure to witness and celebrate the inauguration of the newly-elected party executives at the Eagle Square, adding that the APC Convention sets the scene for an APC victory in the presidential and general elections next year.
He said it was a victory over naysayers who believed the party was divided but are now disappointed.
Buhari reiterated that APC should stay focused and steadfast as a Party, while the party seize every opportunity to remind the main opposition party of their failed 16 years in power, and their continuing failure even as opposition.
