Following Russia's aggression against Ukraine, the Poland Football Association (PZPN) has stated that it doesn't intend to play in the World Cup play-off match against Russia.
President of PZPN, Cezary Kulesza disclosed that the decision was agreed together with the Polish national team.
He said it is not an easy decision, but there are more important things in life than football.
Kulesza sympathised with the Ukrainian nation and their friend from the national team, Tomasz Kędziora, who is still in Kiev with his family.
Also, the Swedish National Football Association (SvFF) has disclosed that its men's national team will not be playing against Russia, regardless of where the match is played.
The SvFF also urged FIFA to cancel the play-off matches in March in which Russia participates.
