Rivers state Governor Nyesom Wike has stated that former president Atiku Abubakar is taking PDP delegates for granted, following his comment on always taking the sit of the party.
Wike, in a statement released by his media aide Kelvin Ebiri, admitted that he never expected Atiku to utter such statements, stating that it is going too far.
He stated that the outcome of the Party's presidential primaries will surprise many, as people like to underrate so many persons which is not good in politics.
“People should watch, there will be shock as far as PDP convention is concern. People should watch what is going to happen. People like to underrate so many persons and it is not good in politics.”
Wike noted that whoever emerges as the Party candidate of all the aspirants should be rest assured that the entire party will rally round and make sure that he wins the 2023 presidential election.
He said he is committed to do anything that will ensure PDP returns to power in 2023, and begin once again the process of rebuilding the nation after years of All Progressives Congress’ (APC) poor governance.
