UN demands justice done on the senseless death of 5-year-old, Hanifa Abubakar


Deputy secretary-general of United Nations (UN), Amina Mohammed has expressed sadness towards the death of Hanifa Abubakar, the 5-year-old who was killed by her school proprietor.

She stated that she is angry and deeply saddened by the senseless death of Hanifa, demanding justice must be done for Hanifa.

Amina noted justice must be done also done for all girls who such atrocities. 

"Our hearts and prayers are with her family - may she rest in peace," she added. 

It could be recalled that the school proprietor had killed Hanifa with one hundred naira rat poison, after she had recognised him when he abducted her.
