Bayelsa state taskforce has impounded 44 cows along Imiringi road, Yenagoa, for violating the state anti-open grazing law.

This was made known by special assistant to the governor on new media, Kokobiaye Abeki stating that the taskforce on implementation and enforcement of the law led by the commissioner for agriculture and natural resources, David Alagoa, in company of the security men carried out the action.

He added that farmers along Imiringi road near Megastar camp had raised complaints on the activities of herdsmen who used the cows to destroy their plants.
