Operatives of the Jigawa state police command has discovered the body of a three-year-old boy, Aminu Bukar, who went missing on January 14, 2022, in Guri LGA.
Spokesperson of the command, ASP Lawan Shiisu confirmed the incident in a statement, revealing that Alhaji Bukar, father to the deceased, had previously reported to the police that his child had gone missing at around 4:00 p.m. on the same date in Dolen Zugu Village.
Receiving the report, he said a team of police officers swung into action and the child's body in the Tudun Mai Jambo bush, about one kilometer from the village.
Shiisu said the child was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead by medical doctor.
He added that police investigation showed no foul play in the boy's death, and the body was released to his family for burial.
