Dele Adeleke, cousin to singer Davido, has denied claims that he ever wrote or say anything against Davido's late mother, Vero.
Taking to his official twitter handle, he noted that he cherishes his Auntie Vero very dearly and would never write nor say against her because he had lost his mother at a tender age and would never allow anyone to denigrate her nor her memory.
He said Davido being the king of social media should know that people take it upon themselves to write whatever they believe will give them clout, many of Davido's fans has similarly threatened his life on social media but he chose not to believe that it is Davido's doing.
Dele reaffirmed that he is not the kind of person to make people write hurtful content about other just for political gains, adding that he has maintained decorum in the face of provocation and I will continue to do so.
He said he respects Davido's choice and support to their uncle, describing it as the beauty of democracy.
"It is possible we can all make our individual choices without rancour and bitterness. We can all follow different paths and still live as one big, happy family," Dele added.
Despite Davido's insult on him, Dele maintained that he remains dear to him, adding that the people of Osun state deserves the best and will give the job to the best.
He noted that he had earlier sent the message to Davido on whatsapp but it remained undelivered which made him resort to twitter.
