A man, Ali Lawan, has been arrested for allegedly raping his 3-uear-old daughter in Kirfi areas of Bauchi state.
The suspects was arrested on January 9, 2022, after the mother of the child had made a report at the Kirfi divisional police headquarters.
Spokesperson of the command, SP Ahmed Wakil confirmed that arrest in a statement on Saturday, January 15, 2021.
He said, “Kirfi reported that her husband, the suspect, asked her to bring him a mat to lay down her daughter to sleep.
?Later, she came back to the room and met their daughter laying down unconscious sweating and vomiting through her mouth, nose and her private part was swollen.
"On receipt of the report a team of detectives were drafted to the scene, victim was rushed to the General Hospital Kirfi for immediate medical attention. Doctors certified her to have been raped."
