Borno state government has set up a 5-man committee to investigate the incident at El-Kanemi College of Islamic Theology, Maiduguri.
It could be recalled that a student of the school, Jubril Sadi Mato, was cut on the throat by a senior after refusing to go on errand.
The committee was set by the Ministry of Education to investigate and arrive at the remote cause of the incident and suggest ways to curtail its re-occurrence in the future.
Members of the community includes: Representative of commissioner of police, Borno state command (member); Representative of DSS, Borno state command (member); Representative of commandant, NSCDC, Borno state command (member); and Hajiya Hadiza Nasir Wali, Director Quality Assurance, Ministry of Education (secretary).
The committee is expected to submits its report to commissioner, ministry of education, on Friday, January 28, 2022.
