The first lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari has supported the call for the execution of school proprietor Abdulmalik Tanko, who killed his 5-year-old student, Hanifa Abubakar.
In a post on her Instagram page, she reposted the viral video of popular based cleric Malam Abdallah Gadon Kaya who asked that the teacher be publicly executed as punishment for his crime.
“His (Tanko’s) life is not more than this girl’s life, the way he took her life, his life should be taken also and let it be done publicly so that another person wouldn’t repeat such.” The cleric said.
Reporting the video on her IG page, she captioned the post, "We support the justice of Malam."
It could be recalled that the teacher kidnapped Hanifa and demanded a ransom of six million naira from the family. He, however, killed and buried her in a shallow grave in the school, after killing her with one hundred naira rat poison because she had recognised him.
