Police operatives has arrested one Augustine Idom, aged 28 years, while negotiating to sell a Toyota Sienna, ash in colour with registration number ABUJA RBC 234 BG, that he stole.
This was disclosed by Nassawara state police command, public relations officer, ASP Ramhan Nansel, revealing that the police acting on credible intelligence arrested Augustine, who hails from Karu local government area of the state, on December 4, 2021.
According to ASP Nansel, preminary investigation revealed that, the suspect was contacted by his neighbour to kindly assist in driving her to pick her up a child from school at Zone 3, FCT Abuja; the suspect criminally made away with the vehicle when the owner of the vehicle went into the school to pick up her child before nemesis caught up with him.
Commissioner of police, CP Adesina Soyemi thanked and urges members of the public to keep on providing useful information that would help put criminals behind bars.
He ordered the suspect to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Lafia for discreet investigation.
