Oyo state government is set to reconstruct the 76.7km Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso Road.
The road reconstruction was approved after the meetings of the state Executive council.
The Council awarded the contract to two different companies, so as to ensure that the work is completed within 15 months. Also, the contract sum is N43.5 billion.
Breaking down the contractors, the half of the road from Iseyin-Apewo Village which is 38.10km includes a 65m span bridge was awarded to Messrs Kopek Construction Ltd for N20.1 billion. While the second half from Apewo Village–Ogbomoso which is 38.6km and includes a 45m bridge with an underpass was awarded to Messrs Craneburg Construction Ltd for N23.4billion.
