Lagos state government has ordered the indefinite closure of Dowen College, Lekki.
This was disclosed in a statement by Assistant director of public affairs, ministry of education, Ganiu Lawal, stating that the school will remain closed pending the outcome of investigation into the death of Sylvester Oromoni Jnr, a 12-year-old student of the school.
State commissioner for education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo announced the closure of the school after a meeting with the school management and staff.
She called for calm, assuring that no effort will be spared in getting to the root of the incident.
