Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commissioned four new school infrastructure projects in Lagos state model college, Igbokuta, Ikorodu division.
The governor, who commissioned the buildings on Dec 10, urged the students not to encourage or allow any form of bullying.
He explained to the students that bullying is an anti-social behaviour that should be frowned upon when any student becomes overbearing on their mates and partakes in organised intimidation of students.
Governor Sanwo-Olu charges the students to immediately report anyone intimidating them to the school authorities, noting that his administration's choice of school projects is to raise the standards of schools in the state and ensure that pupils learn under the most conducive environment.
At the college, he delivered over anultramodern 12-classroom block, 182-bed dormitory, reading rooms and a laundromat.
"In the current year, we allocated N122 billion to education, which is the second largest after infrastructure and delivered over 1,097 projects in 970 schools across Lagos, while ensuring the prompt construction and rehabilitation of 322 dilapidated public schools and provided 87,000 dual composite units of furniture. In the 2022 budget, we increased the allocation to education by 22% to N171billion," he added.
