Enugu state Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has inspected the erosion that occurred at Atavu Bridge, along Amechi-Agbani Road by Amodu Awkunanaw in Nkanu West local government area.
He directed the state ministry of works and infrastructure to immediately commence reconstruction work on the infrastructure, for the safety of motorist and other road users.
He received briefing from the commissioner of works who disclosed that the contractor will commence work on Wednesday, November 10, 202.
The governor had visited the bridge on Tuesday, December 9, 2021.
He was accompanied commissioner for works and infrastructure, Engr. Greg Nnaji; Chairman of Nkanu West and Enugu south local government areas, Chief Sir Nwabueze Nnamani and Hon. Monday Eneh respectively, among others.
