Eight children has been discovered dead in a Honda Pilot jeep with registration number AAA157BD, in Jah-Michael community, Olorunda, Lagos state.
Vanguard reported that the children, who were between four to nine years old, were trapped inside the vehicle and died of suffocation.
The bodies of the children were discovered on Saturday evening, December 4, 2021, when a grandmother, Saliat Kazeem, wanted to feed her granddaughter and raised alarm that the children were trapped inside the vehicle.
The grandmother said that she was asleep when the children, including her granddaughter entered and got trapped inside the vehicle, which led to their death.
The children identified as Zainab, Tayab, Farida, Mamod, Yakubu, Wahab, Aisha and Saliat Kazeem’s granddaughter, are from four different families.
