A magistrate court sitting in Lagos has granted bill to each of the five student of Dowen College, who were detained over the fellow student Sylvester Oromoni Jr.
The students, who were detained as a result of their alleged involvement and causing the death of Sylvester after allegedly assaulting him, were granted bail of N1 million each.
Chief magistrate Olatunbosun Adeola ordered the defendants to produce two sureties each in like sum, noting that one of the sureties must be their parent, and must swear an affidavit of compliance.
She further stated that the international passports of all the defendants must be submitted to the court, their residence must be verified by the prosecutor and they must stay within 2km of their residence at all times.
