Plateau state Governor Simon Lalong has strongly condemned the attack on Ta'agbe village of Miango district in Bassa local government council, which left number of persons including children killed and houses burnt.
This was disclosed by director of press and public affairs to the governor, Makut Macham, stating that the governor described the incident as another said incident which is the handiwork of criminals that are bent on instilling fear, pain and sorrow among the people.
The governor stated that there was no explanation that can justify the attack, and directed security agencies to take immediate and drastic steps to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure that they pay for their crimes.
He commisserated with the victims and families of those killed, and assured that they will get justice.
Governor Lalong ordered the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and Peace Building Agency (PBA) to visit the area and access the level of damage with a view to carry out immediate intervention and bring succour to the people who are in need as a result of the barbaric attack.
He also called on the public to assist security agencies with relevant information that help them catch the perpetrators.
