NCDC records 129 new cases in Nigeria


The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported that 129 new cases of COVID-19 has been discovered in Nigeria, as at 12th November, 2021.

The Centre gave a breakdown of the cases by state: Katsina - 53, Kwara - 32, Osun - 8, Plateau - 8, Rivers - 6, Kaduna - 6, FCT - 5, Kano - 5, Oyo - 4, Jigawa - 1, and Bauchi - 1.

NCDC disclosed that this brings the total number of cases as follows: 213,076 confirmed, 205,483 discharged and 2,949 deaths.

It added that as at November 11, 2021, Katsina state had recorded 53 confirmed and 25 discharged. The state also reported 2 deaths.

NCDC noted that at the same date, one death was reported from Lagos, 320 community discharges from FCT and backlog of 11 deaths reported from Edo state. 

The Centre noted that no cases was reported from Edo, Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo and Sokoto states.
