The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has secured the conviction of a 28-year-old man, Bashar Abdullahi, at the High Court 5 Sokoto for the procurement of a child for sexual exploitation, on Monday 8th November, 2021.
The convict was sentenced to 2 years imprisonment from the date of arraignment without option of fine.
NAPTIP revealed that the judge also awarded 100,000 naira as compensation to the victim.
