Barcelona new head coach and legend, Xavi Hernandez has began his campaign with a winning start as they saw off a 1-0 derby win over Espanyol.
Unlike previous games, Barcelona has seemed to have improved since coming under Xavi, as they dominated the match and made more attempt on goals than in their previous match under former boss, Ronald Koeman.
The Blaugrana scored their goal from a penalty kick from Memphis Depay, who was prolific in attack.
This victory has made Barcelona close their gap coming 8 points within league leaders Sevilla.
Barcelona will face Benfica, and will be looking to winning the match in other to qualify for the Champions League on Tuesday.
