NAF takes out suspected BHT/ISWAP terrorists in air strike (photos)

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken out suspected members of Boko Haram terrorists, under Operation Hadin Kai on October 20, 2021.

This was disclosed in a statement by NAF director of public relations and information, air commodore, Edward Gabkwet, stating that the Force had received credible intelligence on the said date that about 20 boats with suspected BHT terrorists were converging for a meeting on an island in the Tumbuns on the Lake Chad and at Malam Fatori.

Acting on the intelligence, 3 NAF aircraft under Operation Hadin Kai were sent out to carrying out strikes on the targets. Reaching overhead the targets, the pilots observed a gathering of about 20 boats consisting of 5-7 suspected terrorists in each boat. Using a mix of bombs and rockets, the 3 aircraft carried out series of strikes and scored devastating hits on the targets leaving some survivors scrambling for their lives.

While noting that there are terrorist and insurgent elements hibernating in the Lake Chad general area, the NAF stated that it would continue to sustain its operations until the area us rid of all terrorists and insurgents.
