Lagos fire service prevents fire damage involving tanker loaded with 60,000 liters of PMS


The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service (LSFRS) has reported that a fire has occurred on Friday, October 1, 2021, involving a Tanker loaded with 60,000 liters of PMS on Apapa Oshodi expressway, Charity Bus stop, Oshodi ,Lagos state. 

Director, LSFRS, Adeseye Margaret  stated that the Isolo fire station of the LSFRS carried out immediate action to prevent the fire from causing any damage to lives and property in the area. 

However, the Tanker which was reported to have loaded at a depot in Apapa was on its way to Abuja before both front offside tyres accidentally emerged in Fire that was swiftly curtailed without either injury or death.

The damaged tyres are being replaced after a favourable risk assessment conducted as the Fire Crew and e on standby to arrest any eventuality.
