Governor Sanwo-Olu reaffirms belief in Nigerian youths as future of the country


During a conference organiser by the ministry of youth and social development, Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed his belief in the ability of young people as the future of the state and country. 

At the conference with the theme "Rebuilding for greatness; peaceful conflict resolution", he stated that with young people's commitment to peace, the state can now undergo a total healing process after last year coordinated attacks on public and private properties which also resulted in loss of lives and livelihood. 

According to the governor, Today is a day of reconciliation and it is about our teeming youths. This is the moment to create a common ground and take ownership of our future. We have indeed assessed what we have passed through as a people; it’s now time to come together to build our lives.

He noted that the unity in togetherness can build a resilient society that Lagosians can be proud of. 

Governor Sanwo-Olu added that his administration's will continue to build and engage with young people, saying that he wouldn't give up on youths as partners in progress and their ability to bring about positive changes.
