Governor of Akwa Ibom state, H. E. Udom Emmanuel has inaugurated the 25km Uyo-Ikot Ekpene road today, October 5, 2021.
He stated the road will be furnished with digital street lights and link to seven local government areas of Uyo, Itu, Ibiono, Ikono, Abak, Essien Udim and Ikot Ekpene.
The governor noted that the road comes with two major roundabouts and is a major gateway from other parts of the country.
He also thanked Senate president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Ibrahim Lawan for accepting to inaugurate the road.
The governor said It is my belief that beyond party, religious, and ethnic lines, we can unite and do our best to make Nigeria a prosperous nation and Akwa Ibom State has always been in the vanguard of development and progress.
