Ghana Police has arrested head pastor of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, along three others for the creation and circulation of multiple videos containing threats, brandishing of weapon and assault of some police personnel.
Kwesi Ofori, Assistant commissioner of police, AG Director-General, public affairs, disclosed this in a signed statement, revealing that two other suspects are on the run.
The police revealed the identity of the three arrested suspect as Michael Boateng, Fredrick Chene and Nathaniel Agyekum, stating that all arrested suspects were arrested at the church premises on Sunday, September 12, 2021.
The police noted that during the operation, some members of the church, believed to have been under the direction of the reverend assaulted some of the officers, who are currently receiving and responding to treatment.
The Police added the suspects will appear before court on Monday, September 13, 2021.
