Kwara state government has sponsored table tennis athlete, Aiyelabegan Sukurat, to the world table tennis camp in Tunis, Tunisia.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by Director-General, Kwara state sports commission, Dr. Steve Olarinoye, revealing that Sukurat was invited along 12 other countries to compete in this year Youth training camp, between 7th - 19th September, 2021.
Sukurat was selected by the International Table Tennis Federation to represent the country because of her competitiveness, high exposition, and inherent identified in the player.
Executive chairman of the commission, Mallam Bolakale Adisa thanked the governor for the sponsorship, and his contribution to sports development in the state.
