Governor Sanwo-Olu inspects 1,188 unit Sangotedo housing estate

Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has inspected the 1,188 unit Sangotedo housing estate, directing contractors to complete 744 flats in Scheme 1 by the end of October.

He stated that the project started in 2012, and was revived by his administration, adding that the first scheme of the project has 62 blocks of 12 flat each, while the second scheme has 32 blocks of 444 flats.

The governor noted that the inspection was vital to know the level of work being done, disclosing that in the next six weeks, the 744 units in Phase 1 of the project will be handed over and all contractors working on it must complete their work.

Understanding how difficult the project is, He commended the contractors for their entire effort in the realization of the Lagos dream.

Governor Sanwo-Olu also issued warning to erring contractors who are slowing down the project, saying,

It doesn’t matter who they know, I am not going to tolerate tardiness any longer. I will give one week to scale up work on the project. If there is no appreciable improvement, not only will their contracts be terminated, we will also prosecute them.
