Gombe state government donates laptop, cash to indigene law students

Gombe state government has donated state law students studying in various campuses across Nigeria with laptops and cash worth thirty three million, eight hundred and fourth five thousand naira (33,845,000) to aid them in settling their academic fees. 

Ismaila Misilli, director general (public affairs), disclosed this on social media, stating that Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya assured that his administration will continue to provide the needed support to citizens of the state on other to achieve excellence.

The governor, who was represented by Deputy Governor, Dr Manassah Daniel Jatau, said that the donations were to encourage the students build their educational capacity to prepare them for a better professional practice. 

He urged the residents to make good use of the donations in their pursuit towards their academic activities. 

Speaking on behalf of the recipients, the National Chairman, Association of Law Students, Gombe Chapter, Comrade Idris Mohammed thanked the government for their support, pledging to justify the spending on them. 

Also, Commissioner of Justice and State Attorney General, Zubair Muhammad Umar thanked the governor for coming to the aid of the students.
