Enugu state Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has signed the anti-open grazing bill into law, which will prohibit open grazing and regulate cattle ranching.
The bill, which was passed by the state House of Assembly, was explained by the Leader of the House, Rt. Hon. Ikechukwu Ezeugwu, that it would be cited as the "Prohibition of Open Grazing and Cattle Ranching Law of Enugu State" after the governor’s assent.
The governor's assent to the bill, will aid to improve security and peace in the state.
