Young Elder in a comic way attempted to express worries about the surrendered terrorists, claiming that they will be put into the army. NA, in its response, stated that the video conjured some unfounded and baseless claims that exist in the imagination of the video makers, adding that the only people that are being absorbed into the army are able-bodied Nigerian that are willing to join the Force and help in the fight against terrorism and other violent crimes. The NA stressed that it is not desperate for prospective recruits to stoop so low and engage the services of former terrorist, noting that as a general rule it is not recommended to absorb former fighters into the services of a regular military. In addition, the Nigerian army wishes to state that the campaign of falsehood embarked by some individuals cannot distract its personnel from their resolve to fight crime, adding that it would continue to operate within the dictates of the law. Speaking on the surrendering terrorists, the Force stated that they will be received, processed and passed to the appropriate government agencies that have the responsibility of handling them. NA advised comedians like Young Elder to focus on contributing towards nation building and not engaging in campaign of falsehood.
