Unknown persons has killed three herders, Bayero Wake, Isah Usman (the Ardo's brother) and Abu Usman (the Ardo's mother), in an attack on Ribok, Tsoriyang and Kankada general area of Zangon Kataf LGA, Kaduna state.
Disclosing this is Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Kaduna state, Samuel Aruwan, revealing that during the attack several persons were injured, while a car, three houses and eight herders' huts were burnt and destroyed.
The commissioner revealed that reports from security agencies disclosed that the attack was a reprisal to the earlier attack in Ungwan Dooh (Mado) area.
The injured persons has been identified as Ambo Jamo, Sule Ambo, Muazu Ori and Ibrahim Mohammed.
Deputy Governor Hadiza Balarabe condemned the spiral of killings and reprisals in the area, and prayed for the repose of the deceased souls' and sent condolences to their families. She also wished the injured victims a quick recovery.
She called for calm and urged residents to desist from reprisal killings while security agencies carry on investigations.
