Delta state police command has arrested suspected gang of four armed robbers at MTN road by pipeline Sapele, Delta state. This is was disclosed in a statement by the state command, Ag. police public relations officer, DSP Bright Edafe, stating that the police had received distress call of the gang operation, and DPO Sapele led crack team in conjunction with vigilante to put down the suspected criminals. The suspects was identified as James Wisdom a.k.a young diamond ‘m’ age 25yrs, Peter Ayodele ’m’ age 22yrs, Ikolo Micheal ‘m’ age 18yrs and Francis Success ‘f’ age 26yrs. Items recovered from them are 3 cut to size single barrels gun with 18 cartridges, a Lexus car with Reg No: YAB 750 BP. Similarly, The state police command had arrested another set of three armed robbers following intelligence report gathered. The Force revealed that the suspects had burgled a house at Old Benin road Oghara and made away with phones valued at four hundred thousand naira (N400,000). The suspects: Choice Macaulay ‘m’ age 26yrs, Endurance Ejokirehie ‘m’ age 27yrs and Junior Macaulay ‘m’ age 21yrs. we're arrested at Indian hemp joint exhibits. Items recovered from them are 3 phones, 1 dummy gun and iron rod used for the robbery. The Force disclosed that the suspects had confessed to the crime and the victims have identified the stolen phones as theirs. On further investigation, it was discovered that one of the suspects Choice Macaulay who is the leader of the gang was arrested before and charged to court, but was later released. The suspect led the detectives to their hide out where one locally made gun and two live cartridges was dug out from the ground where it was buried. Delta state, Commissioner of police, CP Mohammed Ari Ali stated that the Force wouldn't relent in the fight against crime and criminality.
