Plateau state government has stated that the curfew imposed on Jos north, Jos south and Bassa local government areas are still in place. This was disclosed by state commissioner for information and communication, Dan Manjang, stated that the curfew in Jos North is for 24 hours, while that of Jos south and Bassa LGAs is from 6pm to 6am. The commissioner urged members of the public to disregard rumour of review of the current curfew, stating that government are yet to make any decision on the curfew, which will be conveyed to the citizens when they do. Also, the state government thanked the citizens of the affected areas for their cooperation and understanding, assuring that it is working with all stakeholders to ensure that things return to normal as soon as possible.
