Plateau government debunks allegations of House of Assembly complex being sealed

Government of Plateau state has debunked allegations made by Speaker of the House of Assembly, Hon. Nuhu Ayube who appeared on Channels TV programme claiming that the Assembly Complex has been sealed. 

Disclosing this was commissioner for information and communication, Dan Manjang, stating that the allegations which is associated with the executive arm of government and state Governor Simon Bako as being behind it, is false. 

The commissioner stressed that neither the executive arm of government nor the governor is aware of behind the sealing of the house, adding that it doesn't interfere into the affairs of another independent arm of government. 

According to Manjang, Governor Bako was the first governor to implement the implement full autonomy for the legislature and judiciary as well as local government in the country, and therefore it is not possible for him to be associated with any action that will impede on the activities of the House which has its rules and conventions.

He noted that the governor remains the longest serving speaker of the House in the history of democracy in plateau state, and he understands and demonstrate the workings of the house.

The commissioner added that to the knowledge of the government the House remains open for legislative business, urging members of the public to ignore the allegation and refrain from dragging the executive arm of government and state governor into the affairs of the house. 

He added that those who have any concern should channel them to the security agencies
